Tell us what needs calibrating. We will advise which points and which range actually make sense for how you use the instrument — the most expensive option is not always the right one.
The instrument comes to us, or we come to you
Most instruments are calibrated in our laboratory. Where an instrument cannot be moved, or moving it would stop production, we calibrate on your premises.
We measure and we record
We measure against standards with documented traceability. Measured values, limits and measurement uncertainty go into the certificate exactly as they came out.
You get the certificate
Routine calibration work is completed within 24 hours of accepting the order. By arrangement we also work outside business hours — when production is down, the clock is running.

Verification, calibration, traceability
Three words that get mixed up — and the difference decides what you actually need.
- Verification
- Measurement related to trade and to setting a price. It is performed by an authorised body and results in an official mark.
- Calibration
- Establishing and documenting the deviation of the value shown by the instrument from the true value. Calibration does not repair the instrument — it tells you how far off it is, and with what uncertainty we know that.
- Traceability
- An unbroken chain of comparisons linking your result through our standards up to national standards. Without it, a measured value is only a number.

Standards traceable to national standards
Our standards are calibrated by accredited laboratories and we hold a valid calibration certificate for each of them. The certificate number and calibration date of the standard used appear on your certificate — so traceability is something you can check, not something you have to assume.
Measurement uncertainty to EA-4/02 M:2022
Expanded uncertainty is stated for a coverage factor k = 2, which for a normal distribution corresponds to a coverage probability of approximately 95 %.
Ambient conditions are part of the record
Temperature and humidity during calibration are recorded and stated on the certificate. For measurements where they matter, this is not a formality.
